
Mr Sam Joseph
Hip and Knee Surgery
Mr Sam Joseph is a trained specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon with a focus on hip and knee conditions.

Mr Joseph grew up in Melbourne and completed his medical studies at Melbourne University. He completed his orthopaedic training in Victoria and was awarded his fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2014. Sam undertook clinical fellowships at the Clinique Jouvenet, and the Clinique Arago in Paris. During this time he also travelled throughout Europe to visit a number of prominent surgeons further developing his hip and knee surgical experience.
Sam specialises in hip and knee replacement surgery, reconstructive surgery of the knee, and sports knee conditions. He has public appointments at Alfred Health and Peninsula Health, where he supervises and teaches trainee Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Sam continues to be active in research. His work has been published in international journals and has been presented at multiple meetings around the world. He won the Rosengarten prize for surgical trainee research in 2013. Mr Joseph currently has public appointments with Alfred Health and Peninsula Health, and works privately at Linacre Private, Peninsular Private Hospital and Cabrini Hospital, Malvern. Sam is married with three children, lives locally in the Bayside area, and is fluent in French.
