Mr Chris Jones
Hip and Knee Surgery
Chris Jones attained his medical degree at Monash University in 2000. He completed his orthopaedic training and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2009. On completion of his training, Chris spent over a year working as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon for both Monash Health and Alfred Health, before travelling overseas to complete a hip and knee fellowship with Dr Michael Dunbar in Halifax, Canada.

Chris has an established practice in hip and knee surgery at Linacre Private Hospital, with clinical interests in:
Total hip replacement, including:
• Muscle sparing direct superior approach,
• Computer assisted hip replacement,
• Rapid recovery total hip replacement,
• Short stay total hip replacement

Total and partial knee replacement, including:
• Computer assisted knee replacement
• Robotic total knee replacement
• Rapid recovery total knee replacement
• Short stay total knee replacement
• Unicompartmental knee replacement
• Patellofemoral joint replacement
​
Revision hip and knee replacement, including:
• Robotic and computer assisted revision total knee replacement
• Complex revision total hip and knee replacement

Chris lives locally with his family in the Bayside area. Chris is actively involved in teaching and training, as well as the administration of orthopaedics. He has previously been an AOA Victoria Executive Committee member and an AOA AMA Victoria representative.
